1. WHO WE ARE

This privacy policy details the data privacy regulations regarding our shop (“Little Familiars”) website: https://littlefamiliars.com. There are two components that make up our site: our e-commerce shop and our blog. The data collected and stored on the site via these components is detailed below.

2. COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture and username are visible to the public in the context of your comment.

3. MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. An image may be uploaded to your account to be associated with your blog comments and will be stored along with your account data.

4. COOKIES

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

5. EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

6. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND STORED

While visiting our site we track products you’ve viewed so that we may show you recently viewed items. We will also track your shipping address, if you have chosen to enter it, so that we can estimate shipping before you place an order. We also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes

If you create an account, we will store your name, shipping address, email address and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We store information about you for as long as we need the information to fulfill orders, track orders, show previous orders, and store account details for future orders (if you choose to create an account); and for as long as we are legally required to store it. We will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

If you leave a comment on a blog post, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
