In tarot, this card signifies major transformations or endings – think death of an old way of living or an old way of thinking (in tarot, death doesn’t mean a loss of life). Upright this card shows a person whose life has come to an end, and in death, this person has contributed to new life – mushrooms! In this, death brings a positive note, endings always pave the way for new beginnings. In reverse, this card can show someone for whom death is seen only as a negative experience, which can cause the tendency for stagnancy or resisting change.
